Landon starts hard labor

Landon is now 10, and I (Chad) believe that I was taught how to mow the lawn when I was ten, and slowly that became one of my chores.  Only difference is I can still remember having to use a push mower.  Oh, not the kind with a motor on it, but one with spinning tines that spun as you pushed it along.  Also I remember having to use a push edger.  Same sort of make up, a pole attached to a wheel that had 4 or 5 blades attached to it that spun as you pushed the pole to make the wheel move, again no motor.  THAT WAS HARD LABOR.  Move ahead now about 20 years, and we have been in BV for about a year.  We have just purchased some land to build our house on.  Only problem is that it is still a few months away AND I have to tend the land.  So I take my push mower (with a motor) and go to mow the property.  It's about an acre.  It takes me about 5 hours that first time because the grass was so long.  THAT WAS HARD LABOR!!!  So now that we have a riding mower, Landon's "hard labor" is going to consist of a different story line when he is old like me!  But we all have to start somewhere I guess!   Only difference is I think he is enjoying this MUCH more than I did!!!!
