There is a group here in Rockbridge County called "Project Horizon" all about making families stronger. We have a friend who's daughter works with them so we heard about a small fun day they were having at Glen Maury Park. So we took the kids and had some fun. There was all kinds of fun things to do, and free Pizza, can't beat this for an afternoon!
Face painting is of course a hit with Keely! She chose a coral reef with bubbles coming off it!
Carilion Clinic Hospital is the major Hospital Group in Southwest Virginia. They brought their Life-Flight Helicopter and crew down from Roanoke for the day. They let the kids sit in the chopper, buckle in, and even sit up in the pilots seat. They told them all about what is inside the chopper and how it all works. I think this was Landon's favorite part!
What's a fun day without a bounce house? Just another day at the park of course! So, they had a bounce house = FUN day!
Sydney got her face painted too! She chose the rainbow coming from the clouds!
