Chores in Williamsburg

Apparently in Williamsburg, it isn't enough to just pay for entrance. If you are a kid, then you ALSO have to do some chores.  The kids ACTUALLY LOVED to do them?  WHAT?  How's that happen?  We can't get them to lift a finger at home, but for total strangers, they jump at the chance.  Oh well, it was fun!!!

The kids were expected to....pick spliced firewood from a pile -
carry it over to another pile
 and stack it neatly.
washing dishes has NEVER been so much fun
Keely even got a little upset when a lady took this cup from her...and she wasn't done drying it.
 scrubbing more pans
Landon didn't want to wash dishes, so he got the job of mashing the corn kernels.
They had the girls do some ironing.
I think the favorite job for the kids was learning to make herbal medicines
this one had flower, cornmeal, rose petals and much more

Then, they helped set the dinning table for dinner in the formal dinning room
plates, and forks and knives and spoons
and cups and napkins.
The kids were pretty tired after a day of walking around, and doing chores everywhere we went.

Looks like fun. Maybe you can all come to see us and cook a feast and clean up after!

Hope to see you soon...Elder Papa
