Thanksgiving Old School Style...

Well, old school in that we went and spent the holiday in Colonel Williamsburg and Jamestown Virginia.  Visiting our nations history and humble beginnings and hearing and seeing some of the hardships that the early settlers had here in America, made us be a little more thankful for what we have and the luxuries we enjoy.  About the only thing they had that we don't is a HUGE armory of more than a thousand guns, swords, and cannons.  That's ok though, I think that might be a bit overkill now-a-days!!

Our tour guide!  Telling the kids all about customs and traditions of Williamsburg.  It was a slightly cold day...making us thankful for the warm clothes we have now, compared to what they wore then.
 Shopping for Milk...Williamsburg style.

only about 1/16 of the total guns in the armory of Williamsburg.  Quite the assortment of pistols, rifles, swords, and even a couple small cannons.
The kids got a little too obnoxious...so we left them here so that we could enjoy some time alone...If Only huh!  HA HA
We tried them in the Stalks!  Their response....
to put US in the stalks!
 Inside Town Hall.

They had an awesome hedge maze.
And in the middle of the maze was a little brick patio.  The kids used it as a dance stage.  Lots of fun!
Then there was this awesome path that was completely covered by trees..
It had an awesome look to it...
But when you turned around into the sun...SPECTACULAR!!!
We attended the Non-denominational church service.  Pres. Washington gave an address.  It was a great way to remember that it was still Thanksgiving Day.
By the end, Michelle couldn't stand us anymore, so she put us in Jail.  "LET US OUT!!!"
