Singapore Zoo

One of our favorite outings was going to the Singapore Zoo. There was so much to see and discover!
Keely's first encounter with wildlife. She was terrified by these statues, especially the one of the otters! She cried every time I reached out my hand to pet them!
Crocodile Dundee in action!
Cheese, smile big now!
I kept thinking they did a great job with the surrounding greenery at this zoo. Then I would have to remind myself, this is Singapore that is what grows wild here!
The otters, and Keely keeping her distance in the safety of Grandma's arms.
Sydney's new shoes
Ready for the Safari?
Keely loved the monkeys!
My biggest regret of the trip was missing Chad's performance! When they went to a show I decided to stroll Keely around so she would fall asleep. They chose Chad out of the audience and asked him to come up. Then they asked him to take off his shirt! You can just see them thinking hey, big muscular white guy I'm sure he would do it. You can see Chad's answer in the picture above.
He did provide them with one awesome tribal shout however!
I can't believe I missed it!
Mahaffey fam holding a boa constrictor after the show.
Did I mention I hate snakes!
Just walking around the zoo with Grandma.
At the zoo there is also a great little kids water park. We spent a good couple of hours there.
Sydney's favorite part was the slides.
Keely enjoyed every minute of being in the water!
Landon's favorite part were the things that you could squirt people with. I don't think he even went down a slide.
The zipline
Landon still talks about it as being one of his favorite things he did in Singapore.
Keely and Mom on the boat ride.
Landon driving the boat.
Sydney driving the boat. The captain came and choose her to be the first to drive it. She was so proud! She got to drive it for about 10 minutes. Then he let the other kids have short turns. You can tell by her grin that she was pretty excited!
"Where's my cab driver"
How we all felt after a long day at the zoo!

What fun! I love all of the warm-weather things you could do. Reminds me of the one year my grandpa took us to Hawaii just after Christmas. Wow!
