On the first day of Singapore my true love taught me...
how to eat a maaango. (Hey at least you can't hear me singing)
My mom is still learning a lot about the country and was happy to have Chad there to teach us how to properly eat mangos, star fruit, dragon fruit, and guava.
We had seen all the interesting fruit my parents would eat when we talked to them on Skype and were excited to try it. After we had been flying for 20 plus hours Sydney let out a frustrated sigh, when I asked her what was wrong she said, "I just want some dragon fruit!" She was ready to get off that plane! With all the hype of dragon fruit it turned out no one was a big fan. Although we loved the mangos, bananas, and pineapple!
Here is a picture of our first day fruit buffet.
By the way the jet lag is a killer. I slept accidently six hours the first day, then when night came I didn't sleep a wink. I felt like the guy on Rocket Man trying to pass the hours. Landon and Keely kept me company for an hour and a half and we partied from 1:30 am to 3:00 am.
After that initial difficulty we did quite well. Although for some reason nobody wanted to come near me that second day. They looked at me like I was a time bomb just waiting to explode.
