Christmas Eve Celebration

We began our evening with quite the unconventional Christmas Eve Celebration. Since it is pretty hard to haul enough food home on the train for a large crowd like ours we headed to Kenny Rogers one stop down from my parents for our Christmas Eve dinner. Next while wandering around the mall the kids got a chance to play in some bumper boats. They had a blast! Sydney even got pretty good at steering, with some direction from Dad, she would go far away work up some speed turn around and t-bone Landon. Next to good old Mc'Dee's for some ice cream. We were grateful for all of the American food that the kids, (and Lisa) could eat! With the help of Lisa, and Grandma we did keep one of our favorite traditions intact. A treasure hunt for PJ's!
Hooray, we found them!
We acted out the Nativity while Grandpa read the story of Christ's birth. I don't know that it was exactly reverent, but it was memorable. It was hard to get the kids to sit still they were so excited. Landon and Sydney were Joseph and Mary. Didn't Joseph and Mary wear asian pajamas?
Karli was the beautiful little angle, who needed to hold a baby as well.
Merry Christmas! My favorite part about being there at Christmas was everyone would wish you a Merry Christmas, Christian or not. No one was afraid of being politically correct. They just respected others religious views and celebrated with everyone. Unfortunately that is something that doesn't happen in the US.
Time for bed! It was a wonderfully long day. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
