Halloween day we headed downtown for trick or treating at the shops with our good friends the Grawrocks. Last but not least Chad took the kids around the neighborhood while I greeted the five trick or treaters that came to our door.
After our màny excursions we had way too much candy. Landon already had a plan to sell most of his candy to the dentist and head straight to the store. Sydney was on board with this plan too but Keely wasn't so sure. The next day Keely talked to her cousin Karli on the phone who told her about the Great Pumpkin. According to Karli you choose ten pieces of candy then put the rest in a bag with a pumpkin on it on the porch. The Great Pumpkin takes the candy and leaves you a prize. Keely was obsessed, to put it mildly. It was all she talked about the next day. She had decided to do it, we picked out the candy and wrote a card, she was all prepared! She couldn't wait for the kids to come home and tell them her plan. Keely panicked when the kids got home and Sydney sewed a seed of doubt about the great pumpkin. Sydney said what if you leave your candy out and don't get anything in the morning. They decided to see how it went with karli and try next year. To the dentist the candy went!
