Christmas Cookies!

We have a wonderful little countdown tree which has ornaments that we unwrap to tell us a family activity for each of the 12 days to Christmas. We go see lights, sing Christmas Carols, write letters to Santa, read the Nativity, have hot chocolate etc. One of the activities is baking cookies. It always throws the kids off because the ornament is a chocolate chip cookie but for Christmas we always do sugar cookies. I should have thought that through a little better when I made the ornament. We had a good time especially because we made the cookies in the night then decorated the next morning, I highly recommend this for sanity reasons. Landon didn't help cut them out because he was feeling a little under the weather. Which happened quite a bit for the two weeks before and the week after Christmas. Someone was almost always sick!

Keely got her own cookie to decorate... we did not give that one away. After the kids got bored of decorating Nana helped me finish the cookies for our Christmas plates. Thanks to her artistic help they looked good!
