For our ward pioneer day we improvised on the costumes a little, but the important part was they got to dress up!
Sydney churning cream into butter.
Keely gets to help too! "MEEEE"
Landon tries to master the hoop stick game he made. Notice the tongue? Looks just like Papa.
We had a great time. We played all sorts of pioneer games and then the kids had a mini trek. They earned beads that represented some of the things that the pioneers went through. They got about ten beads and Sydney was so excited about it she wanted to tell me over and over again which beads symbolized what. Then the kids came into the "Valley" and we cheered for them and got them some lunch. It was a great hit!

oh my word... what a FUN pioneer day! Dad & I will get to celebrate Pioneer day on Sat. by preparing the talks we have to give in church the next day! ha! Also, Misty is coming to visit her friend Quinn, so she'll be here on Sunday! The kids look great! LOVE,LOVE, LOVE the picture of Landon with the tongue... Papa will be so proud! ha!
You know I am grinning from ear to ear about this post... :) I'm glad the kids enjoyed it, and glad that Sydney was so enthused by the trek beads! :)
I forgot to check back with you to make sure you got your drink cooler; I left it on your porch. Thank you! I'm sorry we never ended up using it; after I had gathered a couple, we ended up with several from Bro. Pendleton...
Thanks again for posting this; it means a lot to me!!!
