The Secret Life of the Mahaffey's

So it's not such a secret, Chad and I love to play volleyball. We don't get the chance very often because of our busy lives, and our darling children. Chad's friend Steve started an intermural volleyball team and asked us if we wanted to play. We were excited to get to play together again. The games didn't start until 9:30 or 10:00 so the kids were fast asleep. A couple of the guys from downstairs sat upstairs to listen for the kiddos while we "snuck out." It felt like we were sneaking out because the kids knew nothing about our nighttime outings. We would play sometimes until midnight and then head home exhausted! We played against people about ten years younger and still came out Champs. I'm sure we had a few more aches and pains than the rest of the teams. It wasn't the highest quality of volleyball, but it was fun spending time together doing something that we both love and that brought us together in the first place!
