The beautiful flowers my parents sent, that made my day!
My birthday falls at an awkward time. We have just celebrated Valentines, and Landon's Birthday. By the time my birthday comes I'm a little burnt out. Sydney asked me the morning of my birthday if we were going to have cake. I told her no, I didn't want to make a cake. She said, but Mom you are great at making cakes. Great confidence booster, but I still wasn't interested in making a mess of the kitchen and cleaning it up again. Unfortunately my favorite cake from Aunts bakery is all the way in Utah. This is what I came up with, looks great huh! Keely needed a prescription so we headed to Walmart, Sydney found a pink cake for me. Perfect! A day old Valentine's cake for $1.50. The best investment of the week. It may not have tasted as good as homemade but it sure made everybody smile!

Yay for flowers! Crazy how they can be that far away and still get flowers to you. I'm glad you didn't have to make a cake and clean up the mess! That's a birthday present right there! Wish we could have been there!
