Landon's first day of Blast ball, was, well, a blast, and yes, the pun was intended! Blast ball, for those of you who don't know, is not really baseball. Basically all that happens is the child stands and hits the ball off the tee and then runs to first base which is a special base that makes a honk when they jump on it. Then they return to line to do it again. Landon actually likes to run around all the bases though so he can get his "Home Run" - I guess daddy has taught him something. Anyway, they split the kids into 3 groups. While one group bats, another group congregates around the mound and then they all fight over the ball when the batter hits it (imagine 4 year old soccer..aka..ameoba ball, just with a baseball not a soccer ball). The 3rd group is in the outfield working on catching and throwing drills. While he is no Derek
Jeter, or Sammy Sosa, he does enjoy it and has fun. Yeah, we need to work on some of the finer points and subtleties of the game, but for now, just hitting the ball and running around the bases seems to be hogs heaven for Landon.

Landon's got quite the stance there. He's so cute! I wish we were there to cheer him on!
