This is the second year SVU has hosted a 5K for students, faculty, and community members. Last year was fun, but this year was super fun! Everyone in our family got in on the running! Landon and Chad ran together and got a pretty decent time. Keely ran maybe 75% of it and Sydney ran the whole thing! Annalese got out and did circles around the stroller while we walked to catch our breath.

Keely and Sydney all colored up from running through the powdered chalk lanes. Whenever we saw those the kids got a new boost of energy to keep going.
One of the best parts of the event was the luau afterwards. They fed us a slow roasted pig dinner and did some Polynesian dancing. We think Annalese may have some Poly blood in her because she was really grooving to the music. They even had a guy do a fire dance. While he was dancing in a traditional skirt and no shirt Annalese came up to me and said, "MOM, MOM...He's Naked!" She was thoroughly surprised no one else had noticed or was disturbed by this fact.
We had a great time and can't wait for next year!
