Landon has started cub scouts! He wanted to start so badly when his best friend wanted to, so we decided to give it a go. He will move to the LDS pack when he turns 8, but for now he's in pack 113! He loves going to meetings and earning beads. On one of our out and about's we went to the fire station. There was quite the windstorm raging outside and across the street a carport flew into the transformer and caused a blackout while we were there. The boys had just sat down and were ready to listen to the firemen. The generators were on in a few seconds and the phones started ringing. We were all escorted into the break room which had a window for us to watch the action. After the evening was over I said we were so lucky we got to see all of the excitement. Landon just looked at me like I was crazy and said, "No, Mom, that was scary!" It was an adventure however. We also got a chance to march in the Christmas parade. We're excited for many more years of scouts, earning badges, learning, serving, and having a lot of fun!

As a Tiger Cub a parent needs to be with their child at every meeting. So that means Keely and Sydney get to come along most times as well! Sydney and Keely loved walking through the parade together. Although Dad gets to go when he is home. He wishes he had a different schedule that would allow him to be more involved with Scouts, but for now Landon and Dad work on his at home goals together. My favorite is how Chad taught Landon to inspect his job after he has done a chore then report how it went when he was done. I love that part!
