We headed to the temple with beautiful weather on Saturday. We had a three hour journey ahead of us and an hour into the trip Sydney got sick in the car. We had a change of clothes and contemplated turning around. Sydney begged to see Jesus' Temple so we pressed on. We made it to the temple and there was a huge crowd, cars were double parked everywhere. We dropped Chad off for the first session and the kids and I headed to a picnic spot a little ways away. It got pretty hot outside in the high 90's so we got in the car to go back to the visitors center. The car wouldn't turn over... and I remembered having a very similar experience last summer. Finally after some serious praying from Landon, the car started and we made it back to the temple. We were sitting in the visitors center resting in the area that looks like a living room and Sydney lost it again. The Sister Missionaries were very sweet to clean up the mess!! After Chad came out we decided it would be best to go home. Then on the way home we stopped to get some coolant, the reason for the car troubles. We hit trafic and Sydney got sick again. Luckily Lindsay and Cameron were home and we headed there for a bath some laundry and a rest. We finally headed back home at dusk. The next day I kept the kids home from church. When Chad was asked where we were he told them the story and said, "She's gone inactive from the whole trip." Although it was quite the fiasco, at least Sydney got to see" Jesus' Temple," Landon saw how prayers are really answered, Chad got to do a session, and I got... to see the Lord's hand in our lives.

Oh. My. Gosh!!!!! What a trip!!! I'm glad you're able to have a positive attitude about it and that there were so many blessings involved. Hopefully you'll make it there again soon and have a calmer experience!!!
