London Day 10

We started Monday out by going to Buckingham Palace to see the changing of the guards. Something apparently you have to do if you go to London. We got there in plenty of time and had a good spot to watch from then Sydney announces that she has to go to the bathroom. I asked a policeman where the nearest bathroom was and he told me to take her to the bushes in the park! I tried and she would have none of that. So we trekked the 10 min. back to the tube station and found a bathroom there. Obviously she was not about to rough it. We made it back to see the tail end, but it definitely isn't on my top 10 list. Next we walked to Harrod's. Who would have guessed that we would show up on the one and only day they have a sale. Some would say lucky but if you are simply browsing because everything already costs double what it does at home, we counted ourselves unlucky. The kids had a great time in the toy dept. and we enjoyed lunch at a place akin to Planet Hollywood. We also went down and saw all of the exotic foods at the market that they had to offer. I think you could find almost anything from around the world. Chad saw a lot of fruit that he hadn't seen since his Mission in the Phillipines. We headed back to the hotel and then my mom and I went out to see Wicked. It was a great show and very entertaining. I was glad to have listened to the music before with my mom. It was her third time seeing it, but she still loved it! I went to bed singing the songs in my head.

I enjoy the music from Wicked as well, but I was lead astray thinking the book would be just like the musical. Not SO!!! The book was horrid and I would never recommend it to anyone. I am amazed that they came up with an awesome musical based off the book. Anyway, I hope that you all had fun looks like a great trip. I always tell Meggan I will take her to europe. I think she would love it with her art background and the such.
